Administrator's Bio
Ellen M. Sandman has served as Borough Administrator since January 2008. Mrs. Sandman has over 33 years experience in municipal government, 12 of which were as Assistant Administrator in Jersey City, NJ and 21 years as Business Administrator and Public Safety Director in Denville, NJ. She has received a Bachelor's degree from Jersey City College and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

As Borough Administrator, it is my pleasure to present our dedicated staff as well as the professional services we provide. Throughout this website you will find helpful information regarding each of my staff members and their respective departments. Please feel free to call upon them with your questions.

My office, along with the Borough Clerk, Finance Department, Zoning Officer and Land Use Coordinator is located in the Phoenix House at 2 West Main Street, Mendham, NJ. You can find the office of the Tax Collector, Construction Official, Health Department, Recreation Department, Animal Licensing Official, Fire Official, Tax Assessor, and Utility Clerk directly next door at the Bowers Building, 6 West Main Street.

The Department of Public Works is located at 37 Ironia Road (973) 543- 6535, and the Water Reclamation Facility is located at 35 Ironia Road (973) 543-7030. The Police Department is located at 3 Cold Hill Road South (973) 543-2527.
