Prevent, Protect, Prepare Against Vaccine-Preventable Diseases

The Bernards Township Health Department in conjunction with the NJ Department of Health Vaccine Preventable Disease Program will present a program entitled Prevent, Protect, and Prepare Against Vaccine-Preventable Diseases on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. The program will be held at the Bernards Township Town Hall located at 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge, NJ. Participation is free but registration is required. This program is targeted to school and pre-school directors and administrators and school nurses.

Speakers include Jenish Sudhakaran, MPH and Jennifer Smith, MPH, CHES from the NJ Department of Health Vaccine Preventable Disease Program as well as the Community Health Nurses from the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills. The topics which will be discussed are the NJ Administrative Code (NJAC 8:57-4); Provisional School Admission;  Student Exclusions; the Annual Immunization Status Report and Audit Protocol; Religious and Medical Exemptions  and the General Guidelines for Control of Disease Outbreaks in Child Care & Schools. Nurses attending the full program will be awarded 2 CE.
