9/18/23: Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE) Protocol adopted. (CCARE link) (Use of Force for Private Citizen Conceal Carry link)

  • Concealed Carry Permits (njportal.com)
    • Conceal carry permit holders that are applying for renewals who have not completed an application in the Portal must apply for an initial carry permit through the portal in order to renew their previously issued carry permit. (All applicants approved prior to July 26, 2023).
      • The NJSP Concealed Carry Permit Portal is now live (Effective 7/26/2023)
      • All Conceal Carry Permits must be processed through the portal 
      • The ORI# is NJ0141800
        • BEFORE YOU START THE PERMIT PROCESS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
        • SBI Number
        • Upload of recent photograph (on a light background including head and shoulders)
        • One (1) training record completed within the past two (2) years, instructor name, and qualification date
        • Personal Information: including Social Security Number and Driver's License Number
        • Background Information
        • For Armored Car Applicants: Uploaded Employment Letter
        • Contact Information for four (4) non-family related references (can not be related by blood or law)
        • Information on handguns to be carried
        • $50 Application Fee to be paid to the State of New Jersey
