Message from the Mayor

Release Date: August 07, 2020

Good Morning Mendham Borough Residents and Business Owners

Good news! Power is coming back. On Monday, August 3rd 2,111 buildings were without power. As of last night that number was down to 1,280. I am told that the crews are working at our Cold Hill substation are bringing more streets online throughout the day today. Many residents are already getting notices from JCP&L with ETR times. If you have not signed up for their notices you should put this on your "to do" list.

Our Garabrant Charging Center is up and operating and we anticipate staying open until 7pm tonight unless power is restored to all. We will let you know tomorrow morning if we need to be open throughout the weekend.

Please note that Mendham Borough facilities have been without power. This includes the Phoenix House, which serves as our municipal hall operations and houses our servers. Power just came back to that building last night and we will be able to get back and fully functioning by 10am today. This includes website updates.

Thank you all again for your patience and understanding. Your kind texts and calls have been very helpful to help us manage this emergency. Our thoughtful residents and business owners are true stewards of our find town. We are Mendham Borough!

Sincerely yours,

Christine Serrano Glassner

Mayor
