Warming Center available

Release Date: March 03, 2018

Good Afternoon.

Mendham Borough and Mendham Township will be holding a joint warming and mobile device charging center at the Mendham Township Municipal Building located on Cherry lane and West Main Street in Brookside. The warming charging area will be on 2nd floor in the court room from 12pm to 6pm today and 10am to 6pm tomorrow.

Some businesses are open in town, please do not drive around barricaded roads due to the many wires that are down in the area. East Main street remains closed with detours in place.

JCP&L has advised Ice and water is available for residents without power at Kings in Mendham and Shoprite in Chester. Please see the courtesy desk. They are working to get power restored in the region and have brought in additional crews from out of state to assist with the restoration process. About 80% of the borough is still without power.

Any residents who are concerned with the welfare of neighbors or friends can reach the OEM line at 973-922-0782 and will be referred to the borough police department. ?
