MUNICIPAL CLERK & REGISTRAR, RMC, CMR – FULL TIME
The Borough of Mendham is seeking a full-time Municipal Clerk. RMC & CMR required. Preferred 3 years’ experience. The ideal candidate must be able to work cooperatively with the Borough Administrator, administration, elected officials, department heads, employees, committee members, volunteers, and Borough professionals, as well as provide friendly and prompt customer service to the public in person, over the phone, and via email. The successful candidate is focused and organized, and adept at using their time effectively and efficiently. The Clerk’s duties include, but are not limited to, preparing meeting agenda, reviewing and responding to OPRA requests, maintaining Borough records, attending all Borough Council meetings, drafting and posting minutes in a timely fashion, issuing licenses and permits, and maintaining schedules.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of managing elections, drafting resolutions, and the Open Public Meetings Act, including advertisement requirements. Prior successful experience as a municipal clerk or deputy municipal clerk is desired.
