NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough Administrator of the Borough of Mendham in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey, at the Office of the Borough Administrator, located in the Municipal Building at 2 West Main Street, Mendham, New Jersey on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, and at that time and place publicly opened and read for the following:
Department of Public Works Vehicle Storage Garage
The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. Specifically, the project involves the construction of a new 70’ X 96’ X 16’ pre-engineered timber frame vehicle storage garage with concrete floor and apron to replace the existing garage at the Department of Public Works compound located at 37 Ironia Road, Mendham Borough. An Alternate bid will also be received to add the cost to furnish and install an additional 8’ to building, making overall size 70’ X 104’ X 16’.
Plans and specifications and proposal forms are on file and open to public inspection at the Borough Administrator's Office and may be obtained at the office of the Borough Engineer at 180 Main Street, Chester, New Jersey, (908) 879-6209, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays, upon payment of $30.00, payable to Ferriero Engineering, Inc., said sum not refundable, beginning on Friday May 28, 2021.
Each bid must be made on the prescribed forms furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including Non-collusion Affidavit, and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00.
Bids may be submitted by mail, but will be considered only if received on or before the date and time specified. The Borough will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded through the mail if lost in transit at any time before bid opening. No bids will be received after the time set forth above.

The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Borough, will be in the best interest of the Borough, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
