This is an important notification from New Jersey American Water. Our crews will begin routine flushing of the water distribution system in your area beginning on Wednesday May 27th to provide you with high-quality water service. Flushing in your area will occur between the hours of 9:00 a m and 3:00 p m. Flushing also allows us to test and maintain fire hydrants.
When crews are working in your area, you may notice reduced pressure or discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water taps only, at the lowest level of the house for about 3 to 5 minutes until the water runs clear. If discolored water occurs please also refrain from doing laundry during that time.
In keeping with American Water’s focus on safety for both customers and employees, please do not approach our crews while they work. For more information and to see a map of the affected area please go to NewJerseyamwater.com and click on 'Alerts'.

PATRIOTS' PATH INFORMATION

 

Dear Residents,

We would like to inform you of upcoming improvements to Patriots' Path that will enhance the 
safety, accessibility, and overall experience for all who use this valued community resource.
This work is being made possible through funding provided by a Local Recreation Improvement Grant 
that the Borough received from the State. The project reflects our continued commitment to 
maintaining and improving our shared outdoor spaces for residents of all ages.

Phase I of the Construction activities are expected to begin on or about May l5t, 2026. The work 
will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. the construction activities will take place between 
the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm Mon - Fri. construction activities may include trail resurfacing, 
drainage improvements, and general maintenance along certain sections of the Path, starting at the 
Mountain Ave entrance to approximately 2000LF down the trail. During this time, you may notice 
temporary closures or detours in affected areas. We will make every effort to minimize disruptions 
and ensure that work is completed as efficiently as possible.


We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these important improvements are underway. Upon 
completion, Patriots' Path will offer a safer and more enjoyable environment for walking, running, 
biking, and other recreational activities.
