Message from Mendham Borough Public Works

We are watching a storm system that may impact our area Sunday into Monday.  Mendham Borough Public Works would like to give you a few reminders to start thinking about. It will be windy and we may see high amounts of rain. So we suggest you take a few minutes to do the following:
 
  1. Make sure you’re grill and grill cover are secure. 
  2. Any toys that can roll or blow should be brought indoors.
  3. Pool covers and deck furniture should be secured. We suggest having a few bungee type cords to help.
  4. Make sure all down spouts are clear from debris.
  5. If you have a sump pump and are prone to water in the basement make sure nothing can float and block your pump. 
  6. On Saturday and or Sunday,  if you get a newspaper delivery please make sure it is picked up quickly as it may float and block a storm inlet.
