Winter Weather Advisory

Release Date: November 07, 2012

A strong low pressure system is expected to impact New Jersey Wednesday and Thursday. Beginning in the morning, rain will develop from south to north, along with increasing winds. There is the potential for moderate coastal flooding during the midday, and late evening high tides. Strong, potentially damaging winds gusting to around 50-60 mph is also possible and a high wind watch is in effect for much of the state. In addition, rain will mix with and/or change to snow in areas generally along and to the northwest of the I-95 corridor. Significant snow accumulations are not anticipated at this time for the majority of the state. A few inches may accumulate in the higher terrain of northern New Jersey. Impacts will be highly dependent on the eventual storm track and strength. A small variation in storm track can result in a significant change in impacts.
