Pond Closed for Ice Skating

Release Date: January 18, 2015

Mountain Valley (Mud Hole) Pond opens for skating when weather and ice conditions permit. Signs will be posted to let residents know if the ice is of sufficient depth for skating

ALWAYS USE CAUTION WHEN SKATING

- No Town supervision is provided

- Do not skate on pond when “NO SKATING” signs have been posted.

- Use caution when skating, ice conditions may change throughout the day

- Never skate alone

- Do not gather in large groups on ice

- Beware of ice covered with snow

- Stay away from cracks, seams, pressure ridges, slushy areas
