Contest Rules

1.  Fishing contest is open to any child under 16 years old! State law requires anyone between the ages of 16-69 must have a fishing license. For exemptions, see state fishing regulations.

2.  Contestants must sign in before fishing (There is no fee)!

3.  No lures or three prong hooks. If caught using a lure or three prong hook you will be asked to leave (this is done to prevent injuries).

4.  Each fishing person may keep up to 6 trout (This is a State law).

5.  Every trout kept must be at least 9 inches long (This is a State law).

6.  Winners will be determined by the Mendham Police.  We will base our decision on the following factors: Length of fish, weight of fish, type of fish, and age of the contestant. Our decision is final!
