New message on Covid

Release Date: July 25, 2020

Dear Residents and Business Owners,

We want to thank you all for your tireless efforts in maintaining your distance and wearing masks to keep our beautiful town as healthy as possible.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mendham Borough has shared all the information that we were given access to on coronavirus related facts, including the number of cases we were experiencing here in Mendham Borough. The information we received throughout the months was limited to actual positive test results, which was provided to us in a cumulative number and did not account for recovered patients. We were recently provided with  more detailed demographic information that shows details on age, gender, death rate, and dates of confirmed positive cases. We are glad we are able to share this with you now.

Over recent months we have been asked by residents to provide information to the public regarding the addresses of the positive cases. However, due to HIPPA regulations, this information is not shared with us nor are we legally permitted to share any such information. We will continue to provide any relevant information we receive with our Mendham Borough community and ask that we all keep up our commitment to take recommended health precautions.

Just a reminder - if you are feeling under the weather please stay home and consult with your family health care provider or visit one of our local urgent care facilities.

Thank you for all you are doing for our community's greater health.

Sincerely yours,

Christine Serrano Glassner

Mayor
