Message from the Mayor

Release Date: November 17, 2020

Dear Mendham Borough Residents,

The last couple of years the Borough has experienced a rash of attempted car thefts and successful thefts. There have been two in the last two weeks alone. These thieves are brazen and video coverage has shown us that they are not deterred by driveways lighted by flood lights or video cameras. The only thing that will prevent these thefts is for residents to be diligent and remove the key from the car, remove valuables from the car, and lock your car doors. We will continue to remind residents on an ongoing basis to remove your key fob, but we urge you to come up with your own system for evening lockdowns of your property. If we work together we can make Mendham a place that the car thieves avoid.

Sincerely yours,

Christine Serrano Glassner

Mayor, Mendham Borough
