Mendham Borough Historical Tours

Saturday, May 6 at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, and 1:00 pm

 

Mendham Borough invites you to three Historic District Walking Tours, Saturday, May 6th.  Come to learn about the rich history of our special town! Each tour (led by an Historical Society member) will be 45-50 minutes long, and will be held outdoors, rain or shine.  Space is limited, so please register today!

Tour 1

10:00 am: Hilltop Cemetery: “Revolutionary War and Other Graves”

Learn about the many famous Mendham Borough residents buried in this historical graveyard.  Meet in front of Hilltop Church (20 Hilltop Road).  We will be visiting historic graves in the cemetery, so please dress accordingly.

Tour 2

11:30 am: Hilltop Road: “Heart of Mendham”

Learn about the many generations of historic homes and businesses on Hilltop Road. Meet at Woven Floors (2 Hilltop Road). We will be walking along both sides of Hilltop Road and sidewalks may be uneven, so please plan accordingly.

Tour 3

1:00 pm: Main Street: “Main Street from East to West”

Learn about the historic district on Main Street to New Street in Mendham Borough including churches, businesses, and homes. Meet in front of 15 East Main Street. We will be walking along Main Street to New Street.
