Certificate of smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, and portable fire extinguisher

Release Date: March 24, 2020

Effective today we continue to meet compliance with the Governor’s executive order 103 the Bureau of fire prevention will be utilizing an affidavit approach instead of a in person inspection approach to meet the law requiring  a Certificate of smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, and portable fire extinguisher compliance prior to the resale or re-occupancy of a single or two family dwelling.  Please e-mail korgera@mendhamnj.org or cbellamy@mendhamnj.org to obtain the affidavit form or the form can be found under the form center of the Borough's website. www.mendhamnj.org
