Message from the Mayor

Release Date: February 03, 2022

Dear Mendham Borough Residents

Are you a recipient of the SNAP program or experiencing food insecurity and would like to find out if you are eligible for SNAP and how this service can help you or someone you know.

For more information about the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (“SNAP”)  follow this link:

https://www.nj.gov/humanservices/njsnap/about/njsnap/

 To apply follow this link:

https://www.nj.gov/humanservices/njsnap/apply/app/

If you are already a recipient here are some helpful tips for continuing this program:

 1) Please make sure any changes in address or contact information are provided to the county board of social services so the constituent can be successfully reached at renewal time, and watch out for renewal packets in the mail.

2) Households that have lost eligibility can re-apply at any time.  If a change of address was not provided or someone missed the deadline to provide the required information, they can still  reach out to the County Board as soon as possible to restart the process and if eligible, reinstate SNAP benefits.

3) Households can check their benefits online, by downloading the ConnectEBT mobile app, or by calling 1-800-997-3333.

Stay healthy Mendham!

Christine Serrano Glassner
