Message from the Mayor – Power Outage

Release Date: July 06, 2026

Message from the Mayor – Power Outage

Over the past several days, the Mayor’s Office has been working to address calls and emails from residents who are still without power. If your home is still without electricity, please email your address to mboem@mendhamnj.org. We will personally contact JCP&L to make sure your outage has been identified and to see what can be done to help move restoration forward.

Please remember to always report your outage directly to JCP&L. You can report an outage by:

  • Clicking the link at the bottom of the Mendham Borough Website Home Page
  • Calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877)
  • Using the "Report Outage" feature on the JCP&L/FirstEnergy website
  • Texting "OUT" to 544487

I know this has been a difficult time for many residents, and I appreciate your continued patience as utility crews work to restore service throughout our community.

To stay informed during emergencies and other important Borough events, I encourage all residents to sign up for Nixle alerts and the Borough's Email Notification System through the Borough website. These services provide timely updates on road closures, public safety information, and other important announcements.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue working through the recovery process.

Mayor Jim Kelly
