Message from the Mendham Borough Garden Club

Release Date: July 21, 2017

Discover the delightful Public Garden next to the Phoenix House on Main Street, a wonderful spot to meet a friend for coffee, bring a book to read, or enjoy a quiet moment. A little used treasure waiting for you to explore.

The Mendham Garden Club is an eclectic group of residents that maintain the lovely Phoenix House Garden as well as the garden by the "Welcome to Mendham" sign (by the Cold Hill Rd. traffic light)  from spring through fall. We are a working garden club, responsible for all aspects of gardening at these two locations ranging from  planting flowers, weeding beds and pruning shrubs  to decorating the Oak Tree Triangle in the Fall with mums and pumpkins.

We are looking for new members, the seasoned gardener as well as the beginner, to join our club.  We have a "come when you can" attitude, knowing that everyone has other commitments and summer vacations, so don't let your busy schedule deter you from joining.  Right now we  could use some  help watering the pots on the Phoenix House porch.  Get the kids involved and volunteer to water the flowers for one week this summer.  All levels of volunteer commitment welcome!

Take a moment as you walk, cycle or drive around town, to enjoy our beautiful flora, and consider joining our club!

Please contact Laurie Trank at Laurietrank@gmail.com if interested, and enjoy the rest of the summer!
