Message from the Mayor

Release Date: August 07, 2020

Dear Mendham Borough Residents and Business Owners,

As of 4pm today, Friday, August 7th JCP&L is reporting that we have 1,217 buildings without power. That represents 63 new buildings that have recovered power since last night.

We are expecting a significant increase in that number by 11:30pm tonight. Our OEM Team and Fire Department wants you to know that if an alarm of any type goes off in your home when your power returns please call 911. The repowering of buildings has been triggering alarms. The Mendham Borough Fire Department is prepared to handle these calls and will be fully staffed tonight in preparation for an increase in calls.

Remember, if you can help a neighbor who's power is still out once you have had your power restored it will go a long way in brightening up their day. We are Mendham Borough Strong!

Sincerely yours,

Christine Serrano Glassner
Mayor
